Reportedly nine MPs from various Lok Sabha constituencies praised the development projects and passenger amenities initiated by WCR

A meeting of Members of Parliament representing Jabalpur division with railway administration was organised on Wednesday. Reportedly nine MPs from various Lok Sabha constituencies praised the development projects and passenger amenities initiated by WCR. The meeting featured the presence of WCR GM Girish Pillai who accorded warm welcome to nine Loksabha members.

WCR GM in his welcome speech given on the occasion enumerated upon the development projects being initiated and accomplished within the domain of WCR. He said that the electrification between Jabalpur-Itarsi has been accomplished while railways are putting optimal efforts to accomplish the electrification work between Jabalpur to Katni. As after the electrification in the section is completed would provide time gain for 22181/22182 Gondwana express and other train subjected to change of locomotive at Katni. This would eventually lead to save of time by around 20-30 minute duration. While DRM Jabalpur Dr Manoj Singh in his turn apprised the Members of Parliament that under Jabalpur division there are 111 station of the large number of station are in Madhya Pradesh while some are in Uttar Pradesh, there are 16 Ideal station within the ambit of Jabalpur division. He also expatiated upon the enhanced passenger amenities being provided to passengers.

Among the nine MPS present in the meeting, Rakesh Singh sitting MP Jabalpur expressed his content on the pace of development projects under the ambit of WCR, under his demand made he said the gauge conversion between Jabalpur-Gondia must accomplished at the earliest and to develop Madanmahal as Terminal building.MP Mandla Faggan Singh Kulestey demanded stoppage of trains at Shreedham, Karakbel and demanded to change the time of Jabalpur-Nainpur passenger that at present starts at 6.00 am should get started at 7.00 am. MP Damoh Prahalad Singh Patel in his demand said in view of the large of number of population of Jabalpur residing in Madanmahal stoppage of Somnath Express on way to Somnath must be given at Madanmahal. A train from Damoh to southern India would be of immense worth to people from the region to avail medical benefits at Nagpur and to visit south India.

MP Satna Ganesh Singh, MP Sagar Laxmi Narayan Yadav, MP Shahdol Gyan Singh, MP Rewa Janardhan Mishra, Sampatiya Uikey Member Rajya Sabha, MP Sidhi Riti Pathak also raised demands and offered valuable suggestion to improve passenger amenities.

Reportedly the demand list and suggestion made by MPs were taken on record as the top brass of WCR assured of adequate attention.

Among the top brass of present were OP Singh SDGM and CVO, Rajesh Agrawal Chief Mechanical Engineer, COM Manoj Seth, CCM MP Mehta, MB Vijay Chief Principal Engineer, BS Tahim CSTCE, Anuradha Mukedkar CFA, Dr Manoj Singh DRM Jabalpur, ADRM Anju Mohanpuria, Sachin Shukla DGM, Gunjan Gupta WCR Chief Spokesperson.

The meeting was conducted by OP Singh SDGM and CVO while the vote of thanks was proposed by DRM Dr Manoj Singh.
