Mayor inaugurates ‘Kaun Banega Smart’ quiz contest

Mayor Dr Swati Godbole on Thursday inaugurated ‘Kaun Banega Smart’ quiz competition being organied by Jabalpur Smart City Limited (JSCL).
Speaking on the occasion she said JSCL is the only organisation in the country which has started mobile app based quiz competition. This is the first competition of its kind in the country.


Informing about the competition, she said questions related to schemes being run by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation and Jabalpur Smart City
Limited apart from Jabalpur's history, geography, tourism, culture, environment, literature, art, language, food, archeology, civic administration and general knowledge would be asked in the competition.


She said the competition would start from 8 am to end at 8 pm from Monday to Friday. As many as 15 questions along with four optional answers would be asked daily and right answer of the questions would be given on 9 pm. Every question would be of 5 marks. Hence, people can earn 75 marks daily. Prize would be based on number of marks earned by the participants. First prize would be of Rs 10,000, second 7000 and third 5000 apart from seven consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each.


Mr. Dr Godbole on the occasion urged people to participate in the quiz competition in large number.

JCTSL MEETING : A meeting of Board of Directors of Jabalpur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL) was also held on the occasion.
During the meeting BoDs took various decision including start of Off street parking facility in the city apart from On street and Multi Level Parking, Cash less paid parking systems etc. The JCTSL would float tender for all type of parkings.


Similarly, the JCTSL would enforce unified pass system for city busses in the city. The pass would be monthly, tri-monthly and six monthly.
People can make journey by bus within the city with the help of the pass.


The JCTSL also decided to start Inter City Bus Service after recommendation of Directorate, Urban Administration and Development Department, Bhopal. It will also operate two buses for city viewing and two buses on package plan.
Later, the income and expenditure of financial year 2017-18 was presented before the Board of Directors.


Amongst those present on the occasion were Mayor and Chairman JCTSL, Dr Swati Godbole, Collector and Executive Director of JCTSL, Mahesh Chandra Choudhary, Superintendent of Police and Director of JCTSL Shashikant Shukla, Municipal Commissioner and Managing Director of JCTSL, Vedprakash, Nodal Officer JCTSL Gajendra Singh Nagesh, Regional Transport Officer, and others.
