Thieves attempt to loot cash at petrol pump, assault one

Three unidentified thieves assaulted a worker at the petrol pump and attempted to loot cash from the other workers. The incident took place at Vaishnavi Petrol Pump, Narendra Nagar, on Wednesday evening.
Injured Nitin Ramesh Chichghare (30) is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Complaint was filed by other worker Shubham Shankar Jeevanapurkar (22), a resident of Juni Mangalwari. Shubham told police that the thieves came around 10 pm on a bike and attacked Nitin on his shoulder. An injured Nitin rushed inside the office. Before the thieves attack Shubham and other worker, the duo ran away. Shubham informed police that the thieves tried to chase them but later sped away with their fourth partner who was waiting nearby on a bike. Fourth person working at the petrol pump had gone to washroom. Later, Shubham and others took Nitin to nearby hospital and informed pump owner. Ajni Police have registered a case under the sections 394, 34 of IPC.

Two booked for labourer’s death
Hingna police have booked two people for their negligence causing death of a labourer in an under construction site. Roshanlal Jaganlal Parihar (43), a resident of Indira Mata Nagar, Mahadulla, died after he incidentally slipped from 8th floor of construction site at Gausi Manapur, Green City. The incident had taken place on July 12, last year. Investigations in the case revealed that the contractors had not taken any safety measures for the labourers and thus causing death of Parihar. Police have booked Ravindra Krishnarao Naghate (54), a resident of Swavlambi Nagar and Premchand Kevalram Choudhary (38), a resident of Nildoh. Police have registered a case under sections 304 (a), 34 of IPC.

Four-year-old boy succumbs to burns
A four-year-old boy succumbed to burn injuries on Wednesday. The deceased is identified as Prashik Devendra Tembhekar, a resident of Nari layout, Kalpana Nagar in Jaripatka Police Station area. The untoward incident took place on January 6. Police said that the child’s mother had kept the hot water bucket near the bathroom while Prashik was playing nearby. While playing, the bucket tumbled and the hot water poured over Prashik causing severe burn injuries. Prashik was rushed to Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to burn injuries on Wednesday. Police have registered a case of an accidental death.
