Staff Reporter,

Denouncing harshly the circumstances which forced senior most judges of the Supreme Court to come out against the Chief Justice of India, accusing CJI of not taking any proper measures on some of the issues, senior office-bearers of the Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar Association (MPHCBA) said that if needed, they along with other High Court Bars, would go to public to safeguard the purity of the Supreme Court.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, President of MPHCBA Adarsh Muni Trivedi and others said it was an extraordinary event in the annals of the Apex Court that the senior most Judges, including Justice J Chelameshwar, Justice Rajan Gogoi, Justice Madan Lokur and Justice Kurien Joseph had to address the nation. He said the judges had alleged that the administration of the Supreme Court is not in order and some events have left them with no option but to tell it to the nation.

Trivedi said the legal fraternity would not allow anybody to control, directly or indirectly the powers of the Supreme Court. Amongst those present were Secretary of HCBA Shashank Shekhar, Joint Secretary Amit Jain, Treasurer Anita Kaithwas, former Secretary Manish Tiwari.
