CM expresses grief over demise of ‘Mani’

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has expressed his grief over the death of social worker and litterateur Rawalmal Jain ‘Mani’ and his wife Suraj Devi. Dr Singh while condemning the grievous incident of murder of the couple said that Rawalmal Jain was committed to promote naturopathy and Yog in Chhattisgarh. He established Naturopathy medical college in Nagpura and was also the trustee of one of the famous Jain temple of Chhattisgarh, in Nagpura in Durg.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister further said that Rawalmal Jain started his career as a journalist and exposed many corrupt people. Later, he devoted his life to Jain religion and also in writing of books. In a short span of time, he wrote over 100 books and one of them on him (Dr Raman Singh). He also contributed a lot in the establishment of many educational institutions like boarding school as well as higher education institute for naturopathy.

His death is really a huge loss to Jain society as well as entire state. He also attended last rites of the Jain couple. Abhishek Singh, MP of Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha also accompanied him and prayed for their souls to rest in peace. Ramsheela Sahu, State Minister of Woman and Child Welfare and MLA of Durg Rural, Arun Vora, MLA of Durg-Urban, Vidyaratan Bhasin, MLA of Vaishali Nagar, Pratima Chandrakar, former MLA and Bhajan Singh Nirankari, former MLA of Vaishali Nagar were also present. All last rites were performed by their grandson, Sayam Jain as per the rituals of Jain Religion.
