Fire broke out at a tailoring shop. In the incident two sewing machines, a television set, inverter, electric press, huge stock of stitched cloths worth nearly Rs 80,000 gutted


Property worth Rs 80,000 gutted in fire that broke out at a tailoring shop situated under the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station during early morning hours on Monday. The incident occurred due to short circuit. Some morning walkers crossing the area saw fume billowing of the shop. They immediately informed the Police Control Room about the incident. Wasting no time the Police informed the fire department of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation which pressed into action fire tender to douse the fire. Till fire fighters reached the spot, huge stock of stitched cloths, sewing machines and other things situated inside the shop gutted in fire.


Spokesman fire department of JMC informed that a tailoring shop Abid Hyder Tailor situated in Hyder Compound Sadar caught fire at about 6.20 am, on Monday. Some morning walkers passing through the area saw fume billowing of the shop. They immediately informed the Police about the incident. The Police conveyed the message to the fire department which sent fire tender to the spot to douse fire.
Meanwhile, neighbors also gathered at the site to know about the happening. After few minutes, fire fighters reached the site and saw fume billowing of the shop. They opened shutters of the shop and saw the things situated inside the shop charred completely in fire.
