Sanitary pad dispenser at Bhopal stn

On the occasion of New Year, a new facility of dispenser of sanitary napkins has been installed at platform number 1 of Bhopal Railway Station for the convenience of women passengers.

The new electronic sanitary napkin vending machine has been installed in front of women’s waiting room, from where, women passengers can easily get two napkins for Rs 5. This new machine was inaugurated by the most senior woman Railway Grade Four employee Anjali Thakur on Monday.
This facility will prove very beneficial for the women passengers and the women residing in the nearby stations as the hygienic sanitary napkins will be available to them at least amount. The Railways will try to provide this facility at Platform No. 6 along with other big stations in the railway division.

Its conceptualisation was done by NGO Arushi, Bhopal. The NGO works for the welfare of specially-abled and people with mental disability. The women NGO will provide the sanitary napkins to Railway Division. Additional charges apart from the Rs 5 for two napkins will be borne by the NGO.

On this occasion, DRM Shobhan Chaudhury, Additional DRM Sanjay Rastogi and RS Rajput, Senior Division Engineer (Coordinator) Ajay Shrivastava along with other Railway officials and employees were present.
