Two men were walking along one summer day. Soon it became too hot to go any further and, seeing a large plain tree nearby, they threw themselves on the ground to rest in its shade.

Gazing up into the branches one man said to the other, “What a useless tree this is. It does not have fruit or nuts that we can eat and we cannot even use its wood for anything.”
“Don’t be so ungrateful,” rustled the tree in reply. “I am being extremely useful to you at this very moment, shielding you from the hot sun. And you call me a good-for-nothing!”
All of God’s creations have a good purpose. We should never belittle God’s blessings.

The usefulness of any person or object might not be outwardly apparent to each and every person, but it is at this time that we need to hold back from judging them or criticising them.
We need to take the time to assess the situation in a holistic manner in order to derive the true essence of something’s potential.

We also need to start being grateful for everything around us.
We need to mould our minds in such a way so as to see only the positive side of a situation, and to not see the negatives first and use up all our energies in cribbing about any given situation. Be positive and always look for positives around.
