Trial run of Rail Engine between Gudum-Bhanupratappur held

Successful trial run of Rail engine took place between Gudum and Bhanupratappur on Sunday. The tracks were recently laid by the railway staff as extension of railway service which is in progress.

As per information received from Railway sources, Dallirajhara-Rowghat-Jagdalpur project is in progress. Under the project 235 kilometer railway track is to be laid. During the first phase Raipur railway division has set target of laying railway track upto 95 kilometer from Dallirajhara to Rowghat. At present railway line between Dallirajhara to Gudum on 17 kilometer new rail line was laid and passenger trains are being operated between Dallirajhara to Gudum. Railways have recently extended the tracks to 17 kilometer upto Bhanupratappur from Gudum. A trial run was conducted by engine on Sunday. During first run engine was operated at the speed of 10 kilometer per hour and while returning from Bhanupratappur speed was raised to 20 kilometer per hours. CRS inspection and formalities are being carried out by railway officials. During next phase railway tracks will be laid on Kevti, Antagarh and other adjacent areas.

Railway officials believes that with the operation of railway service from Gudum to Bhanupratappur the area will be ready for all round development, railway will prove to be very helpful in fulfilling dreams of the natives.
