The steel city on Wednesday woke up to a chilly morning with icy winds conditions prevailing throughout the day. The chilly weather condition is continuing for last two days and is expected that it may dip to 2-3 degree Celsius in coming days.
People were seen using sweater, hand gloves and monkey cap while in the evening hours, lighting campfires for getting respite from cold waves. A huge crowd can be noticed at any tea stall especially in the early morning hours, where people thronging to sip hot tea to beat the cold.

By making a makeshift campfire with the use of wood and discarded tyres people are getting respite from chilly winter. Schools are also witnessing less attendance as overprotective parents opted to keep their children at home.

Meanwhile, the doctors have advised residents to avoid roaming out in early morning and late evening hours and if necessary, must use sweater, hand gloves and monkey cap. Paedestrian, Dr Harishankar Meshram pointed “People who have a history of respiratory problems should protect themselves from the changing temperature.
Cold weather might also contribute to breathing problems.”
