Start communication campaign between society, police: CM

CHIEF Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan went to Police Headquarters on Tuesday evening and interacted with police officers through video conferencing. CM stressed to start communication campaign between society and police from January 8 till March 8.


Moreover, CM underlined that police and societies should discuss about each other’s expectation during the programmes held at police station level. He viewed that mechanism of working together should be developed by removing distance between society and police. On this occasion, Home Minister Bhupendra Singh and Additional Chief Secretary K K Singh were also present.


He said that challenges will continue to come before society and it is necessary to focus on solution aspect along with routine work to face such kind of challenges. He instructed to prepare short term and long term schemes discussing with specialists, mentors of department and group of police officers.


Talking on burning issue of women security, he exhorted to connect society and create working atmosphere. He stressed to create favourable atmosphere in direction of awareness towards women by taking help of religious leaders, social workers, women organisations etc. He spoke about a picture under which people gets connected with police and criminals gets afraid from cops. He also spoke about giving free hand to control illegal business of drugs, crack down against anti social elements and to control criminal activities. However, he expressed concern on depression incidents among police force and instructed them to improve moral, mental health and service conditions of police force. On this occasion, he felicitated police trainers who received union home minister medals. DGP R K Shukla informed that conviction rate has reached till 70 per cent.
