Two Nagpurians killed in mishap near Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh

Two persons from Nagpur killed while four seriously injured after a Maruti Omni car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationery truck near Rajnandagaon in Chhattisgarh on Friday morning. The persons were going to Raipur for catering works. The deceased are identified as Sameer Ashok Bodele (32), a resident of Lashkaribag, Vinod Shetti, a resident of Wardhaman Nagar and owner of Shetti caterers while injured persons are identified as Dhiraj Walde (46), Satish Walde (52), Amit Dongre (32) and Pappu Maharaj (35).

According to police, the six persons started journey from Nagpur in an Omni car (MH-49/AE-5857) on Friday early morning. Sameer Bodele was driving the vehicle. Around 10 km before Rajnandgaon, the Omni car collided against a stationery truck. The van was badly mangled in the accident. The injured persons were rescued with the help of locals and rushed to the hospital where Sameer and Shetti succumbed to the injuries.

Injured Pappu Maharaj was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur while Dhiraj, Satish and Amit are admitted to Suretech Hospital, Nagpur. Sameer leaves behind a five-year-old son and wife Ashwini. The dead body reached Nagpur on Friday late night.
