‘Bhavantar Yojana will make farming profitable business’

“Initiative of Bhavantar Yojana is a big step to achieve the target of making agriculture a profitable business. Vision of Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will definitely prove fruitful for providing best price of agricultural production to farmers in Madhya Pradesh,” said Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar, Minister of Forest, Planning, Finance and Statistics and District in-charge Minister.

Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar was addressing the district-level Kisan Sammelan at Krishi Upaj Mandi Jabalpur, on Saturday.
Addressing the programme, Dr Shejwar informed that in second phase of Bhavantar Yojana, the State Government is paying Rs 12.40 crore to 2,874 farmers. A total number of 887 farmers were benefited with the payment of Rs 2.62 crore in first phase of the scheme. He also assured the farmers of taking initiative for providing them adequate price of Rabi crops. He also appealed the farmers for immediately contacted him in case of non-transfer of the money of Bhavantar Yojana in their bank accounts due to any technical mistake. Speaking on the occasion, MLA, Panagar, Sushil Tiwari Indu termed the Bhavantar Yojana as a major achievement for farmers to get adequate price of their agricultural production. He expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan who is committed to making agriculture a profitable business and appreciated his visionary approach of starting scheme like Bhavantar Yojana.

Earlier, Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar inaugurated the programme by lighting of traditional lamps. He also distributed payment certificates to farmers. Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole, Jila Panchayat, President, Manorama Patel, MLA, Pratibha Singh, Jila Panchayat, member, Ramkrishna Patel, Mandi Vice-President, Pradeep Yadav, Rajkumar Gupta, Rajesh Singh Thakur and Rajkumar Patel were present.
