BHEL organises Business Excellence Programme

FOUR-DAY Business Excellence Programme co-ordinated by CII concluded at IFX Conference Hall BHEL, Bhopal. On this occasion D K Thakur Executive Director BHEL, Bhopal; Kishore Purswani Executive Director (Peoples Strategy); M S Kinra General Manager (Quality & HR); Parthasarathy General Manager (Hyderabad); C V Subramaniam Principal Advisor (CII), all general managers and other senior officials were present.


Citing the CII assessment to be of utmost significance for the unit Thakur said that a prestigious organisation as BHEL is known in the industrial world for its excellence. He said that business excellence is a multifaceted benchmark having many dimension which can only be achieved on successful execution of all the parameters. Product quality, workplace ethics, respect for colleagues, meeting customer expectations and protection of stakeholder rights will pave the way for taking the organisation to a higher level towards achieving business excellence, added Shri Thakur.
Purswani in his address threw light on the initiatives undertaken at the corporate level for strengthening the image of the organisation. He said that BHEL is among the list of GOI organisation which holds a unique image and recently have been given ‘excellent’ rating by the Government. Under the leadership of Atul Sobti Chairman & Managing Director innovative process are being adopted to undergo change with the changing times.


Addressing the gathering Subramaniam sharing feedback report on completion of the inspection, shared his suggestion. He said that we all should keep our workplace as clean as our own home. He also highlighted the steps envisaged by various manufacturing organisation in the field of customer satisfaction with respect to the current market conditions. Subramaniam urged the gathering to perpetually keep on upgrading one’s knowledge bank which is the only key to success.


Earlier, Kinra welcoming the guest briefed the gathering about business excellence. He said that it is necessary to carry out assessment of the organisation from time to time.
A K Chaturvedi AGM (QCS) compered the programme and Anurag Shukla AGM (BEX) co-ordinated the programme.
