Congress has demanded White Paper on Lok Suraj Abhiyan (LSA), seeking how many applications were received and how many resolved so far.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Spokesman Gyanesh Sharma questioned the intention of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ambitious LSA and termed that
it has totally failed to resolve the grievances of the people. This year the State government is going to hold LSA in three phases, commencing from January 12.

Ahead of assembly elections, the government is going to start LSA to divert people’s minds. Over 28,54,360 applications were received during LSAs. The government should release data how many applications received during LSA are still pending. The government is not committed to resolve the grievances of labourers, poor people and women, the Congress leaders alleged.

People are forced to install transformer by collecting money. Government officials are not aware about the problems of the people, he added. In 2017, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh made 187 announcements and issued 243 instructions but the announcements and instructions fell on deaf ears as they were not fulfilled.

The government’s LSA has totally failed to resolve problems of people. The government has launched the campaign to collect commission from officials, the Congress State Spokesman added. There are over 19,00,000 lakh unemployed youths in the state. The condition of farmers and women are pathetic, he added.
