PM Modi accorded rousing welcome at Gwalior airport

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gwalior airport at 8.55 am on Sunday. PM Narendra Modi arrived to attend conference of Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police at BSF Academy at Tekanpur situated near Gwalior.

At airport, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Ministers in Shivraj cabinet, including Water Resources Minister Dr Narottam Mishra, Urban Development Minister Maya Singh, Higher Education Minister Jai Bhan Singh Pawaiya, Morena MP Anup Mishra, Bhind MP Dr Bhagirath Prasad, etc. also welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi by presenting bouquets.

On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh’s DGP R K Shukla, Gwalior Commissioner B M Sharma, IG Anil Kumar, etc. were also present. After some time, PM Narendra Modi boarded helicopter to go to Tekanpur-based BSF Academy.
As per information, throughout the day at academy, there were presentations and useful discussions on various subjects relating to security.

A presentation was also made on the implementation status of decisions taken during the last three years. Over meals, Prime Minister had focussed discussions with select groups of officers, on specific security and policing issues. Prime Minister’s interactions lasted a total of over nine hours. Earlier, on arrival, the Prime Minister unveiled plaques to mark the inauguration of five new buildings at the BSF Academy. The discussions will continue tomorrow. Prime Minister will address the valedictory ceremony of the Conference tomorrow afternoon, before departing for Delhi. After brief stay at airport, PM Narendra Modi boarded helicopter to go to attend the programme at BSF Tekanpur.
