Blaming ruling government for anti-farmer policy, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Chandni Chowk and national spokesperson Alka Lamba during the public meetings at Arang and Abhanpur said that it has badly hampered state agriculture economy. Lamba was addressing public meetings during week long state-wide campaign ‘Jhadu Lagao Abhiyan’ launched by party from October 2.

Speaking during the public meetings at Arang and Abhanpur, Alka Lamba said that Chhattisgarh state has been blessed by agriculture prospects and natural resources, but ruling government is more focused on rapid industrialisation, which has affected agri-economy. She alleged that tall claims made by the ruling government in their election manifesto for the welfare of the farmers are still pending. Till date government has failed to provide supporting price on paddy purchase, non- implementation crop insurance, free power supply to farmers having 5 horse power irrigation and non-availability seeds at corporative societies.

Meanwhile, campaigning for AAP candidate Sanjay Rai from Abhanpur seat she also listened to public grievances, who complained about chocked sewerage lines, polluted drinking water supply, un-schedule power cuts and demanded closure of liquor shops in residential areas.
