Collector and District Returning Officer Mohit Bundas said that Election Commission of India has announced poll schedule for Assembly polls and hence Code of Conduct has come into effect.


All Government servants have to necessarily follow the model code of conduct. No employee should support any political party and neither express any likeness for any political party. He issued these guidelines while reviewing the duties assigned to the Nodal Officer for election.
This meeting was attended by CEO, district panchayat Dilip Kumar Yadav, Additional Collector BD Singh, ASP MR Singh, SDM of Dindori, Shahpura, Joint Collector Meena Masram and other.


Collector further said that in case of violation of model code f conduct and guidelines of Election Commission of India, disciplinary action would be taken. In view of assembly election, services of all government employees has been declared essential and their leave have been cancelled. Under special circumstances or in serious illness, on the recommendation of District Medical Board or in case of natural crisis, leave can be given. He directed that he should not be sent any proposal for change in election duty or exemption from election duty. The information about meeting ,training would be given through e-mail. Fax, whatsapp , SMS, of through telephone and all office heads would ensure that subordinate staff follow the orders and assigned the task allotted to them.


Collector further said that with announcements of assembly election, Section 144 has been imposed. The members of Expense Monitoring Committee have started their works. License of all arms, weapons have been suspended and should be submitted at the nearest police chowky, police station.


Collector informed that activities under Public Property Disfigurement Act is being taken and all banners, posters, displayed at the government and in private buildings without approval of house owners, are being removed.
The photos of political person from the government portal should be removed. Permission for campaigning, public meeting, by political parties in the campus of departments/ offices would not be given.


Collector Bundas also asked officers to follow the instructions of the Election Commission of India so that polling can be held peacefully.
