Bawankule to inaugurate ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Job Fair’ today

SKILL Development Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of Nagpur Division has organised ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Job Fair’ to bring the employers and employee on one platform.

Talking to media on Tuesday, Mahesh Deshpande, Deputy Director, Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Nagpur Division said, 18 companies will be coming together to fill their 2,000 vacancies on October 11 at Govt Industrial Training Institute, Shradhanand Peth from 10.30 am.

Chandrashekar Bawankule, Ministry of Energy, New and Renewable Energy Maharashtra, State Excise, and Nagpur Guardian Minister, will guide and inaugurate the Fair. “Its a divisional level job fair and candidates from all the five districts Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Nagpur, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli will be participating. We are expecting a footfall of 3,500 candidates which will be scrutinise. After scrutiny, they will be send to the respective companies for the interview,” Deshpande said.

He requested all the unemployed youth of the region to take advantage of the golden opportunities. Deshpande said, on district-level 18 such job fairs were taken in which 2,141 candidates were shortlisted. Of them, 258 candidates had joined various companies.

The remaining camp will be completed by March 2018, he informed. Companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Raymonds, Indorama Synthetics Ltd, Haldiram
Foods International Pvt. Ltd, Morarji Textiles Ltd, Piaggio and other companies are coming. They are requiring right from SSC to professional. “It is an golden opportunity for all unemployed youth,” he said.
