Our Correspondent,

Engaged in preparation for the forthcoming assembly election police administration achieved a big success. Police seized
hundreds of bottles of country liquor hidden in Tesua ‘nala’ between village Hathkera and village Kacharbod under Patharia police station. Police Station Incharge, Keshav Narayan Aditya said that information regarding sale of illicit liquor was coming from this area so informers were deployed in the area.

On receiving information reached the place with force and recovered hundreds of unclaimed bottles of country liquor. Seeing the quantity of liquor it seems that the liquor was planned to be used in the election. The quantity of liquor hidden in the ‘nala’ was not the work of any small or part time illicit liquor trader.

It is worth mentioning that the seized liquor is one year old and is not from any government liquor shop. Farmers were regularly pumping water from Tesua ‘nala’ regularly for their agriculture work. As the level of water in the ‘nala’ decreased liquor bottles kept in sacks by liquor mafia could be seen and police informers came to know that liquor was there.

Patharia police which had reached the place informed the excise department and the excise department came to place
without any preparation so the liquor bottles had to be taken out with the help of villagers and young boys . The excise department officers stood on the bank of the ‘nala’ and issued orders.
Many bottles were broken and could have been dangerous for the children who had been told to take out the bottles by the excise department officers.
