Vidhan Mishra takes on Baghel

Asserting that CPCC President Bhupesh Baghel is the only Congress State President in the country against whom allegations of selling party tickets were leveled former Minister and founder Member of Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) Vidhan Mishra said that nowadays the Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh are ashamed of these deeds.

Naming some of the cases, Vidhan Mishra said that during Baghel’s tenure as State Minister, a case of corruption was lodged against him with Chhattisgarh Lok Ayog, a case has been filed in CID against him for allegedly encroaching upon a land earmarked for poor and constructing a building on it by misusing his influence, case regarding encroachment of agriculture land in village Kuruddih in his home town and most recently the case filed by CBI regarding alleged distribution of fake Sex CD.

Addressing a press conference on Thrusday, Vidhan Mishra along with In charge General Secretary Abdul Hamid Hayat alleged that CPCC President Bhupesh Baghel, who talks of principles, had contested elections in 1993 allegedly on a fake ‘B’ Form. Both the JCC(J) alleged that originally the B-form was issued in the name of former Congress Youth President (Rural) Anant Ram Verma for contesting Assembly General Elections in 1993. The B form was allegedly tampered with by using whitener and name of Bhupesh Baghel was put by omitting the name of Verma, alleged both Mishra and Hayat during the press conference. Both Vidhan Mishra and Abdul Hamid Hayat said after so many accusations against him, the CPCC President should voluntarily resign from his post.

Vidhan Mishra said that after due consultation with the party Founder President Ajit Jogi, he had decided to relinquish the party ticket allotted to him from Dharsiwan Assembly segment in the larger interest of the party. The Party President has appointed him as the Chairman of Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) party’s Election Campaign and star campaigner. He said after the JCC(J) joined hands with Bahujan Samaj Party in Chhattisgarh, expectations of people have increased and there is enthusiasm among them and Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi)/BSP combine will emerge as winner.
