The Hitavada State Bureau,

Ambikapur/Raipur,

Asserting that this Assembly Elections in Chhattisgarh will commit for the future of this country, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Amit Shah said that despite all the foresightedness one can have, how come Rahul Baba dream of forming government in Chhattisgarh. He asked the Congress to clarify under whose leadership it is dreaming of forming government in Chhattisgarh.

Addressing a huge gathering of approximately 36,780 booth-level workers representing 3,678 booths from Surguja division at the Booth Samiti and Booth Palak Sammelan here at Kala Kendra grounds being organised by the Chhattisgarh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, the BJP National President said, “Rahul Baba, you are dreaming of forming government in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of a person who has put to shame all the women in Chhattisgarh by preparing fake Sex CD.” He challenged AICC President to clarify who will be leading Congress in Chhattisgarh in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Shah said that BJP doesn’t have any incomprehension in choosing its leadership in Chhattisgarh. This election in Chhattisgarh will be fought under the leadership of Dr Raman Singh, who has left no stone un-turned for ensuring development and upliftment of Tribal population in Chhattisgarh. When the BJP is going to fight elections, it is not contesting for making someone MLA, MP, Minister or Chief Minister. He said that Dr Raman Singh will be the Chief Minister after the party comes to power, but he will be made Chief Minister for the fourth consecutive time, because the works undertaken for the welfare and upliftment of tribals in this state in these 15 years is unparallel to works undertaken anywhere in the country.

Shah said that it was the NDA government in the Centre under Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, which had created the new state of Chhattisgarh, a demand which was overlooked by the previous Congress governments for many years. However, after the new state came into existence, 3 years the state was under Congress rule with Ajit Jogi as Chief Minister, but no development took place. During this tenure, the BJP party workers were thrashed and no development took place and tribal population was at the receiving end due to Left Wing Extremism, which had predominantly taken over all tribal regions.

Then came elections and BJP government came to power under Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. In the last three tenures apart from all the development and welfare works undertaken by this government, the most important part has been almost eradication of LWE and taking development like roads, power and internet connectivity to such interior areas, which were out of bound for the government earlier.

The BJP National President while consecrating the party workers to take the good works undertaken by the BJP government led by Dr Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh and NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, among the people, said that they have to visit door to door and propagate these good works among them. He asked the party workers to urge the beneficiaries to retrospect the tyrannical governance during Congress tenure. It is the duty of the BJP worker to tell people if Congress comes to power again then the state will go again under the influence of Left Wing Extremism. And if the BJP government under Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is repeated then the influence of LWE which is prevailing in very few areas as of now, will also disappear. He called upon the party workers to take a positive resolve towards ensuring win for the party.

Shah while addressing the august gathering at the Booth Samiti and Booth Palak, said that elections are being held in five states including Chhattisgarh. In these elections, different political parties are in fray, they contest elections on the strength of their characteristics and on rallies of their leaders. On the contrary, the BJP contests elections on the strength of its lakhs of party booth-level workers. He said every booth-level worker is significant for the BJP.

Remembering his days as the President of Booth No 293 from Ahmedabad in 1982, he was then standing at some corner in one such booth-level congregation but this is the greatness of this political party called BJP that today he has been elected as the President of this party. It is the BJP which is truly democratic, where a committed party worker from humble background can become a Prime Minister. This is the party of party workers and here there is no place for family inheritance.

Shah further added that when the Maharashtra government apprehended urban Maoists, the AICC President came in support for them. These persons were alleged in conspiracy of killing Prime Minister, purchasing weapons, etc. He questioned whether apprehending such people comes to violation of freedom of speech. He said that people who are indulged in dividing the country will be put behind bars. We don’t speak the language of bullets for tribal population, we have come to develop, we have come with employment, we have come with food for all.
