People’s Medical College holds health camp on Intl Elderly Day

FREE health check-up camp was organised by People’s Medical College, People’s Dental Academy and People’s College of Dental Science, under the banner of People’s University at Ratua village on International Elderly Day on Monday.


People’s Group Director Megha Vijaywargia, Ratua village Sarpanch Gyan Singh, medical, dental and para-medical staff of People’s University and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Sarpanch Gyan Singh extending wishes towards People’s Group said that the work done by People’s University is commendable and he extends thanks from the villagers for it.


Notably, process of adopting Ratua village of around 4,000 population is underway and under this process Ratua village will be made ‘Adarsh Gram’ in health facilities. People’s University will conduct several works including health smart card, child awareness for education under integrated rural education and health programmes.


Students of People’s University with a view to spread awareness about health and social awareness presented cultural programmes and also staged street play. Nursing students through street play gave message to the villagers about how to meet challenges like physical, mental and social problems whereas People’s Dental College students staging play gave message about the threat to the tobacco consumers. NCC students presenting Bundeli folk song enthralled the villagers and gave message to avoid any type of addiction.


People’s Medical College staff members also planted saplings on the occasion. People’s Group in its social responsibility announced to organise career counselling at Government High School of Ratua soon.
Medical, dental and para-medical college students of People’s University participated in the medical camp and examined the villagers and also distributed medicines. Villagers said that the work done by People’s Group is commendable. They expressed hope that the villagers will get all health facilities at the village itself in future.


People’s Group Director Megha Vijaywargia assuring the villagers said, “People’s University understands responsibility for everyone and efforts will be made to provide maximum health facilities to the villagers of Ratua village”. A free dental check-up camp was also organised for the elderly persons by the People’s University on International Elderly Day. People’s Medical College, People’s Dental College and People’s Para-Medical College doctors and students conducted dental check-up in the camp.
