Staff Reporter,

After seeing that almost daily, Assembly ticket seekers are reaching Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office and resorting to show of strength with the help of their supporters, police have beefed up the security at BJP office. Now, several cops are seen guarding the gates and premises of BJP.

As the time of selection of candidates is coming near, ticket aspirant leaders are trying to woo the party leadership through all means. They are trying to send the feelers to party leadership either through their well wishers or directly approaching senior party leaders. Moreover, their supporters are also reaching BJP office along with banners and posters, demanding ticket to their favourite leaders.

This kind of scenes are likely to continue till the date of declaration of candidates. BJP workers and leaders are reaching daily to BJP office to meet State President Rakesh Singh and other senior leaders. So far there is no fixed date that when BJP will be releasing the first list of Assembly candidates. On Tuesday, BJP State President Rakesh Singh told mediapersons at the party office that first list of Assembly candidates would be released timely.

Moreover, names of ticket aspirants collected after discussing with party workers have reached to party high command in the form of panels and now deliberations are being done on them. It is being speculated that BJP is under immense pressure as far as deciding Assembly tickets is concerned. It is likely to be on safer side to avoid resentment. It is likely to declare tickets just before last date of filing nominations. In last Assembly elections also, BJP had adopted same tactic.
