Take students on a visit to villages: Governor

STUDENTS of Delhi Public School, Bhopal met Governor Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. The Governor asked the students regarding their studies, games and other interesting activities. The students gave apt answers to the questions asked by the Governor. She distributed toffees among the students.


She said that educational institutions and teachers of primary, middle and higher secondary schools should take the students on a tour of villages because our country is made up of these villages. The visit will help children to generate new thoughts and will develop an outlook among school students. She said that students must live in these villages for a day and visit the fields, panchayats etc and gain knowledge about farming. This will develop a sense of respect and honour in the students for the farmers and villagers. They will get a chance to know more about farming and farmers and they will be apprised of the difficulties faced by the farmers in cultivation and the hard work they have to put in.


Governor suggested that teachers should take children on a visit to places of historic interest and tourist spots and make them write about their experiences in the form of articles and get the articles published in a book form. She said that while this would develop a habit of writing article’s in the students, it would also help many children grow up to be authors.
