Bizman duped of Rs 61 lakh by 3 in name of selling shops, 2 held

Two persons have been arrested by MP Nagar police for duping victim to the tune of Rs 61 lakh. The two accused after selling the shop to the victim took loan by keeping shops as security and rented the shops. According to the MP Nagar police, the victim Anil Jain (58), son of Hukamchand Jain, who is a businessman and resident of MP Nagar zone-2 had bought two shops at Jyoti Centre worth Rs 61 lakh from the accused Harish Thakur and Jitendra Thakur on which they had already taken bank loan against the property and later rented the property.

In his complaint, the victim has alleged that he had bought the shops no 63 and 64 at Jyoti Centre worth Rs 61 lakh in the year 2014 and after the money regarding the deal was provided to the accused they told the victim that the transfer of ownership would be done later and victim agreed to the same.

Later, Anil Jain went to Mumbai for some work and after returning to Bhopal recently when he asked for the registry of the property in his name the accused refused and victim found that the accused have taken loan against the property and rented the property after which the victim lodged a complaint with the MP Nagar police. The police have registered a case under Section 420, 406, 448 and 120-B of the IPC and have started further investigation. The accused are arrested by the police after the case was registered against them and their accomplice Rajesh Thakur went missing after he was also made co-accused in the case and is still at large.
