Booty worth lakhs stolen from locked house, garment shop

A locked house was targeted by thieves at Asharam Nagar under Baghsewania Police Station area and valuables worth Rs 70,000 were burgled by them from the house on Tuesday.
Police said that the victim Praveen Saxena along with his family had gone to meet his relatives and when he returned, he found the valuables were burgled. A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Baghsewania police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to meet his ailing relative and on his return on Tuesday the valuables were found burgled.


On receiving the information, the victim rushed towards his house and found that the locks were broken and when he entered the house electronic goods and jewellery were burgled. In the burglary, one mobile phone, gold and silver jewellery were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 70,000. The neighbours expressed ignorance over the burglary. Based on the details in the complaint and information provided by the victim, the police have started investigation. Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation.


Meanwhile, a garment store was targeted by miscreants at Jawahar Chowk and garments worth Rs 45,000 were burgled; TT Nagar police have registered a case and started further investigation. The shop Famous Traders owned by Mohammad Naseem was targeted by miscreants and escaped with garments worth Rs 45,000. The shutter of the shop was broken to burgle goods. The police stations concerned have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC in both the cases and have started further investigation.
