Cong lost elections in Rahul’s leadership: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan targeted Congress National President Rahul Gandhi by saying that as elections are in sight, Rahul Gandhi has come out of Delhi and started his village-run. Earlier, he had never seen village, agriculture fields and zigzag roads going to farm lands. Rahul Gandhi even does not know whether onion grows above or below the land.


Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was addressing people during Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Tikonia area of Gwalior on Wednesday. Chouhan also accused Rahul Gandhi of doing pomp show of being farmer-friendly but people understood the reality.


He further added that once Rahul Gandhi used to claimed himself as brand ambassador of Amethi but he failed to deliver promises in Amethi. Now, Rahul Gandhi has started to talk ‘Made In Gwalior’ and Made in Chitrakoot. “Everyone knows that Congress lost election after election under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Congress failed to get success in Assembly elections of any state. This saga will be repeated in Madhya Pradesh,” he asserted. Indirectly he also took jibe at Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia by claiming that all ‘Raja Maharaja’ jointly failed to increase irrigation area in Madhya Pradesh. He said that during Congress regime, irrigation area of Madhya Pradesh was only 7.30 lakh hectare but BJP government increased it till 41 lakh hectare and in coming years it will be increased till 80 lakh hectares. He claimed that farmers got lagged behind as during Congress regime, irrigation area could not be increased.

On this occasion, BJP National President Prabhat Jha, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, MLA Bharat Singh Kushwaha etc were also present.Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told that in comparison to last two yatras, Jan Ashirwad Yatra is receiving overwhelming response this time as sea of people are coming in it. He added that during Congress time, roads of Gwalior were riddled with potholes and it is in BJP government rule that roads are in good shape. After this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan did roadshow in Tikonia area of Gwalior. Large number of people participated in road show which passed through areas including VIP Guest House road and Murar Square.
