SIT nabs one more member of highway robbers’ gang, 2 trucks seized

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case of serial killer Adhesh Khambra, on Thursday, nabbed his 36-year-old accomplice involved in two murders. More crimes would be revealed by the nabbed accused in further investigation, SIT said.


The accused identified as Sandesh alias Pappi (36) of Mandideep was nabbed who confessed to two murders in Kurawar of Rajgarh district and was sent to police custody till November 3. Adesh disposed around five trucks which were robbed with the help of Sahab Singh. The cases regarding these crimes are registered with Bilkharia, Misrod, MP Nagar and Ashoka Garden police stations. He was provided Rs 2 lakh on every truck disposed. Later, Sahab Singh sold the trucks in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.


Two trucks were seized from Bihar which were related to robberies and murder in Bilkhariya and Ashoka Garden areas. In the investigation SIT has recovered 8 trucks till now and search for the absconding accused is intensified. Notably, serial killer Adesh Khambra has confessed around 34 murders and robberies along with his aides in around half a dozen states. The serial killer and his aides targeted truck driver and cleaners and confessed to killings in Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Three accused Adesh Khambra, Jay Karan and Tukaram were nabbed who were involved in the killing of Makhan Singh and escaped with Iron bars worth Rs 12 lakh on August 15. During the investigation accused involved in buying the robbed iron bars were nabbed and based on details provided by them murder accused were nabbed and along with the solving of the murder and robbery case serial killings by Khambra gang was unrevealed.
