Staff Reporter,

An Upper Air Circulation (UAC) exists on East Rajasthan and its adjoining areas, including North West Madhya Pradesh. Under its effect, there are chances of light showers in Ujjain and Gwalior division. Moreover, wind pattern has changed to North Easterly from South Easterly and due to this reason, minimum temperatures are likely to decline in partial manner in State.

Mild cold conditions are gradually intensifying in State capital during morning and evening hours. Now, people have started to feel the need to wear up warm clothes in Bhopal. Minimum temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 16.8 degrees Celsius and it was at normal level. Similarly, mild cold is being felt in some other regions of State.

Minimum temperatures were below normal level in districts of Rewa and Hoshangabad. However, minimum temperature continues to remain above normal level in Chambal division. The lowest minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius was recorded in Mandla.

Weather department said that mild cold will intensify as minimum temperatures are likely to drop partially in state. This means that winter season has started to increase its grip over Madhya Pradesh. Already it is being expected that cold conditions will start to intensify from November month’s first week. Normally, cold conditions intensify when there is snowfall in Kashmir valley and from there cold winds arrive to State.

The wind pattern favourable for onset of winter season is yet to settle down in state. Once winds become northerly then cold would make people to shiver. As far as day time is concerned then days are either partially cloudy or having clear sky. It is due to this reason that humidity is haunting people. Still there is need of fans to ward off heat during day time.
