Mega race ‘Run for Vote’ organised in Sehore

A mega race ‘Run for Vote’ under voter awareness campaign was organised from residential school to Church Ground at district headquarters Sehore on Friday. The race was flagged off from Residential School and reached Church Ground via different places.

A large number of new voters including girls and boys of colleges and citizens participated in the race enthusiastically. Collector and District Electoral Officer Tarun Kumar Pithode, SP Rajesh Singh Chandel, Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Arun Kumar Vishwakarma, Additional Collector Chaturvedi, District Education Officer SP Tripathi, district project co-ordinator Anil Kumar Shrivastava and officials of all government departments and sehore block officials participated in the race.

Collector Pithode addressing the concluding ceremony at Church Ground said that all the youths should determine their target in life and must cast vote in time. Pithode also administered oath to all about it. SP Chandel on this occasion said that creative work and energy of the youths of Sehore is commendable. Events including rangoli competition and quiz on ‘democracy and election’ were also organised under voter awareness campaign.

The winners of mega rangoli competition, quiz on ‘democracy and election’ will be distributed prizes, trophy and certificates at Town Hall on October 27. Nodal-officer of SVEEP, Anil Shrivastava extended thanks toward the Residential School Principal Alok Sharma and Zila Panchayat Officials and employees for their co-operation.
