Petition for permanent police post in Indore Family Court disposed of

A DIVISION bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court comprising Chief Justice Hemant Gupta and Justice Atul Sreedharan disposed of petition filed by Advocate Prashant Gillore.

The petitioner has invoked public interest writ jurisdiction of this court to direct the respondents to establish a permanent police post in the premises of Family Court Indore. Government Advocate Amit Seth for the State has referred to communication dated on September 6, 2018, that it has been decided to establish a police post in the premises of Indore Family Court for which necessary posts and also administrative sanction has been accorded. It is stated that such police post will be functional in near future. In view of the said fact, no further orders need to be passed.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Advocate Anurag Gohil appeared on behalf of the petitioner, while Government Advocate Amit Seth for the respondents/State. The petition was filed against the Chief Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government, Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Bhopal, Additional Director General of Police, Indore and Superintendent of Police, Indore.
