English Debate Competition held at IWS

RAIPUR,

Indus World School (IWS), Raipur on Saturday for the first time successfully hosted an Inter School English Debate Competition. Chief guest was Nishant Tripathi, Chairman of Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology, Raipur graced the occasion.


In this competition total 9 School participated. Krishna Public School, Vishwa Vedanta School, Holy Cross Pension Bada, Brighton International School, Shri Gujarati English Medium School, Chhattisgarh Public School, Ambuja School and Indus World School. The topic for the Inter School English Debate was ‘Free Press Safeguard Democracy’. Every participant placed their opinions in an interesting and effective way.
They gave their logical view on ‘For and Against’ the topic and made the audience aware of the fact on the given topic.


Nikita Dubey of Ambuja School won the highest marks for speaking in favour of the topic and won the trophy and reward of Rs.1000/- . Master Vijay Chandel of Ambuja School won the highest marks for speaking against the topic and won trophy and reward of Rs.1000/-. The best team award goes to Ambuja Vidya Peeth, Baloda Bazaar and they achieved ‘Running Trophy’. Master Liam Faristha and Master Dev Pandey were the representatives of Indus World School.


Nishant Tripathi encouraged the participants and shared his childhood thought and gave his logical view on the debate topic. The respected judges of the competition were Anurag Ashish Jacob, Nitin Jain and Dr. Saket Ranjan Praveer from Shri. Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Studies.
The anchoring part of the competition was done by Shruti Chaturvedi (Teacher) and Shobhana Venkatesh (School Academic Co-ordinator)delivered Vote of Thanks to Chief Guest, Judges and Principal of IWS, Raipur Vishwadeep Shukla and appreciated all participants and members involved in the success of Competition.
