Sambit Patra rakes up National Herald issue

Just ahead of Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Madhya Pradesh, the National Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sambit Patra tried to ruffle the feathers of Gandhi family by once again raking up the National Herald case issue.

Addressing mediapersons outside Vishal Mega Mart constructed on land allotted to National Herald newspaper in the State capital, he said that city centre building is an example that how land allotted to a newspaper has been misused. Patra alleged that how land allocation of deed has been misused by Gandhi family through the medium of Associated General Limited.

He told that National Herald case is currently subjudice and Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are out on bail.
Patra accused Associated General Limited of violating conditions of deed by going for selling the land to different heads, including Somya Homes. In the meantime, he told that Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) issued order for eviction of building and now matter is in the High Court. He added that BDA wrote to Associated General Limited for eviction of premises thrice i.e in year 2011, 2012 and 2013. He said that if Rahul Gandhi has documents over the issue then why he has not gone to court.

Sambit Patra was accompanied by Bhopal Mayor Alok Sharma, former BDA chief and MLA Surendra Nath Singh. Meanwhile, Congress knocked
the doors of the Election Commission by saying that Sambit Patra addressed mediapersons on road and this is violation of model code of conduct.
