ln Party leaders pondered over names for each Assembly seat in detail and also reviewed their popularity by going through the outcome of various survey lists

The work of discussing names and preparing panels continued till late night

BJP election committee meeting to prepare panels of aspirant candidates for Assembly seats was organised at BJP office in the State capital on Sunday evening. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP National Vice-President Prabhat Jha, BJP State President Rakesh Singh, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, ex minister Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Minister Dr Narottam Mishra etc.

All these leaders pondered over names for each Assembly seat in detail and also reviewed their popularity by going through the outcome of various survey lists. The work of discussing names and preparing panels continued till late night. When this report was filed, meeting was underway, hence nothing concrete could come out that whose names have been included in the panels. Notably, BJP election committee meeting was also held on Saturday and discussions were done on single name and two name panels meant for maximum seats. On Saturday, BJP has almost developed consensus on single name panels and names included in single name panel are certain to get Assembly ticket.

However, this time, veteran leaders will have to pave way for new ones as there is news in BJP that the party is having reservation against giving tickets to veterans including ex-CM Babulal Gaur and former PWD Minister Sartaj Singh. Also, BJP wants to do away with nepotism and tickets to near and dear ones of popular leaders.
