RAIPUR,

‘Had the Congress was dissolved after the independence according to the wishes of Mahatma Gandhi, people wouldn’t have to see such depravity of the grand old party.’
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Shivratan Sharma lambasted Chhattisgarh Congress after the release of a CD allegedly showing the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress (CPCC) President Bhupesh Baghel and Pappu Farishta making deal for the constituencies of Khujji and Dongargarh. Reportedly accepting the responsibility, Firoz Siddhiqui said he did so to sanitise the party of unethical practices.

Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, BJP Spokesman Shivratan recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s famous statement, in which he called for dissolving the Congress Party after independence and resigned from the primary membership. Now, it is perfectly clear Gandhi ji had great foresight. Recent cases of Sex CD scam and now selling of constituency have left the state in utter shamefulness.

The new exposure made in national electronic channel and published on newspapers has muddied state politics. Congress’s national leadership also seems to be equally responsible for such despicable acts.

Congress has lost its relevance as a national party and BJP will demand Election Commission cancels the accreditation given to the Congress party in the interest of democracy. Terming this as a dangerous trend, the Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that a BJP delegation will be meeting the Election Commission on Wednesday to submit a complaint in this direction while demanding withdrawal of its recognition. The Congress has become inconsequential and incompetent as a political party and in the benefit of the nation and democracy, the recognition of Congress should be immediately terminated.

Sharma said from all these developments it has become aptly clear that how much the Pradesh Congress has stooped down in an urge to grab the chair, so much so that it is preparing CD against its state in charge and then trying to negotiate for seats. What level is this, he asked. It doesn’t stop here, the CD also revealed that Durg MP Tamradhwaj Sahu, Congress Legislative Party Leader T S Singhdeo and former Union Minister of State Dr Charandas Mahant are political rivals to someone and if required similar CDs can be prepared for them as well for showing it to AICC President, alleged Sharma.
