Barela police bust gang of Munna Bhais

Barela police have busted a gang of Munna Bhais and succeeded in apprehending eight of the ten accused involved in forgery case. The accused were using dubious means to solve examination papers and fielded fake candidates in the examination as solver.


Arrested have been identified as Sumit (23), son of Satveer Singh, resident of village Baroli in Haryana, Salindra (29), son of Rajkumar, resident of village Duhagi Pati in Haryana, Bintu (20), son of Atmaram of village Shahpura in Haryana, Vikas Kumar (23), son of Suresh Kumar of Hissar district in Haryana, Pravesh (19), son of Krishna Kumar of Haryana, Nishan Singh (39), son of Makul Singh of Jind district in Haryana and Sonu Sharma (22), son of Ishwar Sharma of Jind in Haryana, while two more accused named Sandeep of Jind, Haryana and Deepak, son of Shamsher, residents of Hissar district in Haryana, are still at large after the incident.


Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh informed that, on September 30, off-line examination for the post of LDC was conducted at VITS College in Neemkhera. Examination, Vigilance Officer, Dr Sumit Chakrawarty lodged a written complaint that invigilators had caught two candidates Deepak and Bintu while using mobile handsets for solving the paper.


Police started investigation into the case under the supervision of Additional SP (South), Dr Sandeep Uikay and DSP (Headquarters), Babita Bamania. Investigating the case, police questioned that accused when Deepak and Bintu disclosed their original names as Salinder and Sumit. They disclosed the names of other candidates who were cheating during the examination. On their identification, police team detained Bintu, Vikas, Sumit, Pravesh, Nishan and Shanu and seized electronic devices for solving questions. Two main accused of the racket named Amit and Sandeep managed to escape from the spot. Barela police have registered a case under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the IPC and started a search for absconding men.

In further investigation, police learnt that owner of Amit Academy in Jind, Haryana named Sandeep contacted several candidates and gave them guarantee for qualifying them in the examination. He had prepared fake admission cards in the names of other persons for appearing in the examination in place of actual candidate with handmade mobile device for clicking image of question paper and forwarding it to other person for obtaining correct answers. The nexus of Munna Bhais was busted with active working of police team led by SHO, Barela, Pushpa Prajapati (Probationary DSP), Gaur sub police station, In-charge, SI, Pradeep Patel, Head Constable, Shailendra Singh, constables, Rajesh Gautam, Devendra Sen, Sainik, Anil Yadav and Ramkishore Dubey.
