Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is giving special attention to this Prabhag so as to ensure people visiting the markets do not have to feel bad on account of filth and lack of cleanliness.. Inspite of best efforts of civic body citizens are unwilling to walk extra mile as visiting these areas makes one hardly sees the difference in terms of cleanliness. Wherever one's sight goes one can surely find heap of garbage or places littered with waste material, indicating citizens who cares attitude.

Health Department of NMC has removed maximum dust bins from the market areas under its Bin Free City programme. Thus, shopkeepers are happily dumping waste material straightway on the roads in wholesale market areas. The vendors, hawkers working at Nanga Putla Square also casually dump leftover foods on roads during the night hours creating problem of plenty for the sanitary staff. This also creates problem in the smooth flow of traffics but then with society not ready to amend, civic officials to appear helpless. The local residents are also dumping garbage in a corner of Empress Mill and near Agrasen Bhavan there lending helping hand in dirtying the open space in city. The prabhag has several nullahs- Shakti nullah, Ganjipeth nullah, Chitar Oli nullah, and a nullah situated near Post Office, and one just shudders to think how people bear with the stench that emanates from these water bodies.
