Katni-Itarsi electrified route dedicated to people

The public dedication ceremony of various passenger facilities, electrified railway route connecting Katni-Itarsi along with 10 minutes stoppage of Mumbai Allahabad Duronto Express train at Jabalpur Station, held in a grand ceremony, on Tuesday.


Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party, State President, Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh performed public dedication ceremony of mega electrification project of Katni-Itarsi route that has connected Jabalpur the prime commercial centre of Mahakoshal region with other major centres of the country. He also dedicated various passenger facilities at Jabalpur, Madan Mahal, Deori, Gosalpur, Sihora road, Dundi Stations.


At the outset West Central Railway, General Manager Ajay Vijyavareeya welcomed the chief guest MP Rakesh Singh. While DRM Jabalpur Dr Manoj Singh and other officials presented floral bouquets to special guests including WCR GM Ajay Vijayvargiya, Mayor Dr Swati Godbole, MLA, Anchal Sonkar, MLA Ashok Rohani along with MIC Members, Corporators and BJP office-bearers were present.
MPBJP State President and MP Rakesh Singh said that Jabalpur Railway Station was one of the most neglected railway stations in railways around 14 years ago. When he first got elected as Member of Parliament from Jabalpur he felt dishearten on seeing ignorance towards developoment of Jabalpur Station.


He started working and got the important project Jabapur Gondia broad-gauze project in BJP led NDA Government of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with cost of Rs 500 crores. But thereafter, in Congress led UPA Governments in initial phase the project got very less funds and due to delay in development it became three times costlier. Once again after ten years the project got desired importance and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party Government in the Centre providing sufficient funds and pace-up the development of this project, which is nearing to completion. Appreciating the development works in Jabalpur division, MP, Singh said that Jabalpur Station has various advance facilities. He also expressed sense of gratitude towards the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Railway Board for their support in development of Railway facility in this region. WCR GM Ajay Vijyavargiya gave welcome address and apprise about different development projects enhancing passengers facilities and railway service. He informed that around Rs 6 crore would be saved from fuel cost with electrification of Katni-Itarsi route. He also added that the Jabalpur Allahabad route Electrification work would be completed in given time.


Divisional Railway Manager, Dr Manoj Singh apprise about works carried out in Jabalpur in past six months and extended vote of thanks towards all.In the programme MP Rakesh Singh by pressing a button have dedicated to public includes new lift, paper less charting, coach guidance system at Madan Mahal, Electronic Information Board as well as free wifi facility at Deori, Gosalpur and Islimnabad Stations. Eminent officials of Railway who were present includes Principal Chief Electric Enginer, Anvesh Kumar, Principal Chief Engineer, M B Vijay, Principal Chief Security Comissioner, Dr R K Malik, Principal Chief Telecommunication Engineer, V R Shrinivas, Additional DRM, Dinesh Chand, Anju Mohanpuria along with officials including Rajesh Argal, Anand Kumar, Priyanka Dixit, Vijay Pandey, Abiram Khare, Vishwa Ranjan, Suraya Prakash, Sushil Namdeo, SR Meena, A K Mathur, N K Mishra, Anil Bhalerao, Sunil Shrivastava, officials, employees of Jabalpur division, as well as local BJP workers were present in large numbers.
