Prof Nakagawa from Tokyo briefs students on Day 1 of intl seminar

Seminar on ‘Recent Advanced in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Electronics’ inaugurated at Shaheed Smarak auditorium

TWO-DAY international seminar on ‘Recent Advanced in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Electronics’ being organised under the banner of Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyalaya was inaugurated at Shaheed Smarak auditorium on Wednesday. Professor Masaki Nakagawa from Tokyo Institute of Agriculture and Technology, whose research on touch panel technologies being used by multinational companies in mobile phones, graced the seminar as keynote speaker and delivered his lecture on the topic. Vice-Chancellor of National Law University B S Chouhan was invited as chief guest, while Additional Director, Higher Education Jabalpur Division, Dr K L Jain was guest of honour.


After formal inauguration, Principal Dr Vineeta Kaur Saluja accorded warm welcome to invited dignitaries. Seminar convenor Dr Reenu Sharma briefed the assembly of students about the seminar. Co-convenor Dr Kavita Gaur introduced keynote speaker, Professor Nakagawa and former Director, Pandit Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur, Professor Aparajita Ojha with students. Later, Professor PV Jain, Head of Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Rani Durgavati University and Professor Pritee Khanna, Head of Computer Science Engineering, IIITDM shared their experiences working in the field of Computer Science. The programme was conducted by Dr Meenal Rehman, Dr Ayesha Siddiqui and Kavita Negi, while K S Bansal, President, Guru Gobind Society proposed a vote of thanks. At the end, Additional Director, Higher Education, DrJain administered oath to new voters to cast their votes to ensure impartial election.
