Security arrangements reviewed ahead of Rahul’s visit

A team of Special Protection Group (SPG) conducted inspection of city to implement advanced security liaison (ASL) standards prior to the scheduled visit of Congress, National President, Rahul Gandhi.
Around nine members SPG squad led by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and Inspector ranked officers accompanied by senior officer of Jabalpur Police inspected the proposed routes and spots for visit of chief of All India Congress Committee.

Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh informed that SPG team reached the city following the proposed visit of Congress, National President, Rahul Gandhi scheduled on October 6. Combine team of SPG and Jabalpur Police conducted inspected proposed route of road show from Gwarighat to Rampur square and towards Gorakhpur, Chhoti Line square, Shastri Bridge, Malviya Chowk, Fuhara, Miloniganj, Gohalpur and venue of public meeting at Raddi Chowk. SPG personnel held a meeting with senior police officers and officers of Airport Authority of India at Dumna Airport to discuss security arrangements.

Thereafter, combine team of special protection group members and police officers minutely inspected several spots on the route of road show and venue of public meeting. They gave necessary directions to district police force for necessary preparations to implement better security arrangements for 5-hours visit of Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi.
