Youth dies of dengue in Bhilai

The menace of Dengue is still persisting in Bhilai. During treatment Raj Roshan Pandit (29) who came to Bhilai from Nagpur to his brother-in-laws house in Setor-7 Bhilai for treatment succumbed at a private hospital in Raipur. He was admitted for treatment at CCM Hospital, Nehru Nagar but as his condition deteriorated he was shifted to MMI Narayana, Raipur where he died on Wednesday. The toll of suspected dengue deaths in the district have reached to 45 till date.


It has been informed that Raj Roshan who is working in a private company at Nagpur fell sick and came to Bhilai to his brother-in-law Anil Prasad’s house a resident of Qr No-9/F, Street-40, Sector-7 Bhilai HSCL Quarters and for treatment he was admitted in CCM Hospital on September 29. Where he was confirmed of Dengue positive and seeing the critical condition he was referred to MMI Narayan on September 30. Here during treatment he succumbed on Wednesday (October 3). The BSP township area is in grip of Dengue from August 1 to till date 2385 Dengue patients have been admitted of which most of the cases were from Sector-2, Sector-4, Sector-6, Sector-9, Ruabandha and Risali Sector.


Dengue patients are still reported in the hospital. Treatments of over 200 dengue patients are ongoing at Raipur.
Till date 506 Dengue cases have been referred to Raipur of which 290 have been discharged.
