Museum Open Day organised at Govt Model Science College

Under the two-day event organised under Wildlife Protection Week by the Department of Zoology, Government Model Science College concluded with Museum Open Day on Thursday. Apart from Science College, the students from Government Panagar College and Government OFK College visited the museum established at the college campus and had a look of various rare animal species.

The museum established in the Government Science College is acknowledged at the national-level, where the remains of rare species have been kept safely.
The museum team also works to protect the rare species of animals. The post-graduate students (both previous and post graduate) apprised the visitor students about the significance of museum. Simultaneously, the Department of Zoology also organised slogan and quiz competitions on wildlife.

The winners of top three positions were presented with prizes at the hands of college principal, Dr A L Mahobia in presence of Professor Dr Reeta Bhandari from OFK College and Dr Veena Choubey, incharge of Government Panagar College. The two-day programme received overwhelming response from the students who participated in the programme in large numbers. The programme was organised under the direction of Principal Dr A L Mahobia and co-ordination of Head of Zoology Department Dr Jaishree Sharma, Incharge of Zoological Council Dr Neelima Penkra and Dr Sunita Sharma.
Others who rendered their support in the programme included Dr Preeti Khare, Dr Anamika Singh, Dr Neetu Soni, Dr R D Ahirwar, Kritika Singh, Akanksha Singh and others.
