All India Rly Wrestling Competition witnesses enthusiastic performances on Day 2

Second day of the 60th All India Railway Wrestling Competition witnessed enthusiastic performance of wrestlers, on Friday.

The competition is being organised as per the annual sports calendar of Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) under the supervision of West Central Railway (WCR), General Manager, Ajay Vijaywargia under the auspices of West Central Railway Sports Association at Railway Stadium.

Special guest on second day of the competition was Rajesh Argal, President, West Central Railway Sports Association and Chief Administrative Officer, West Central Railway while Prerna Argal was special guest. On second day of the competition, Dhyanchand Award recipient Gyan Singh was given a rousing farewell during his retirement year.

Senior officers and players of different teams felicitated him with garlands and presented a memento. West Central Railway, Senior Sports Officer, Madhu Yadav informed that second day results of Greco Roman Style competition include in 60-kilogram Vikram Kurade (Central Railway Mumbai) won gold medal while Joginder (Northern Railway New Delhi) and Ram Aasre (North-East Railway Gorakhpur) secured silver and bronze medals.

In 67-kilogram, Ravinder (Northern Railway New Delhi), Deepak (North-Western Railway Jaipur) and Pawan (East-Central Railway Hajipur). In 77-kilogram, Pardeep (Western Railway Mumbai), Sikander (Northern Railway New Delhi), Sunil (East-Central Railway Hajipur). In 87-kilogram, Yashpal (North-Eastern Railway Gorakhpur), Parveen Dagar (North-Western Railway Jaipur) and Manish (East-Central Railway Hajipur). In 130-kilogram, Dharmendra Dalal (Northern Railway New Delhi), Vikrant (Central Railway Mumbai) and Amit (North-Eastern Railway Gorakhpur). In Free Style competition of 61-kilogram, Rahul Aware (Central Railway Mumbai), Abhimanyu (East-Central Railway Hajipur) and Sandeep Kumar (Northern Railway New Delhi). In 70-kilogram, Ranjit Nalwade (Central Railway Mumbai), Sujit Singh (North-Western Railway Jaipur) and Sandeep Kumar (Western Railway Mumbai). In 79-kilogram, Praveen Rana (Northern Railway New Delhi), Kautuk (Central Railway Mumbai), Anil (East-Central Railway Hajipur). In 86-kilogram, Jitender (Northern Railway New Delhi), Rehan Khan (Central Railway Mumbai) and Anil (Northern Railway New Delhi). In 125-kilogram weight category, Sumit (Northern Railway New Delhi) bagged gold medal while Krishna (Western Railway Mumbai) and Sagar (Central Railway Mumbai) clinched silver and bronze medals.
