Mayawati to declare names of BSP candidates on Oct 13

FORMER Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati will announce names of the candidates who will be contesting on 35 seats as per poll alliance with Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) at joint rally to be held in Bilaspur on October 13. It may be mention that JCCJ and BSP have entered into poll alliance in forthcoming assembly polls.

According to BSP State President O P Bajpai, party state unit has prepared list of candidates to contest on 35 seats, which will be handed over to Mayawati on her arrival to Bilaspur to address joint rally along with Chhattisgarh former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi. He said that list of candidates’ features youth faces who will contest the elections and party is focused mostly on tribal seats in the state.

After the rally party will host meeting of the core group leaders meeting to discuss party activities and campaigning during the elections. He also informed that in coming days BSP will host series campaigning activities focusing to raise local issues like farmers plight, non-payment of bonus to paddy farmers, free power supply to farmers having 5 horse power irrigation pumps and lack of welfare schemes for the dalits.
