Naryavali Assembly: BJP undefeated since last 3 yrs

Bharatiya Janata Party remained undefeated in Sagar’s Naryavali Assembly Constituency No-40 since last three assembly elections. Congress Party fielded its repeated candidate in three consecutive elections from Choudhary family but failed in stopping the victory run of Bharatiya Janata Party. Naryavali is one of the biggest constituencies in the district and emerged as a challenge for the Congress Party to end the victory run of Bharatiya Janata Party.

In the Assembly Elections – 2013, total 1,30,969 voting turnout was reported against total number of 2,07,223 registered voters. Total 12 nominations were filed, two were rejected and ten candidates contested the elections. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pradeep Laria (69,195 votes) registered victory against Congress’ candidate Surendra Choudhary (53,149 votes) by the lead of 16,046 votes.

Nationalist Congress Party’s Narendra Ahirwar (1,174 votes), Bahujan Samaj Party’s Lokman Choudhary (2,785 votes), Aarthik Samanta Party’s Atthya Umashankar (1,211 votes), Samajwadi Party’s Kamal Khatik (355 votes), Bharatiya Shakti Chetna Party’s Nandkishore Aathiya (634 votes), Jan Nyaya Dal’s Sandeep Kori (656 votes), independent candidates, Ravi Verma (502 votes) and Sangeeta Khatik (1,298 votes).In the Assembly Elections – 2008, total 88,956 residents used their voting rights against total 1,46,963 voters.

Total 14 nominations were filed, two were rejected, two were withdrawn and 10 candidates contested elections. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pradeep Laria (38,758 votes) defeated Congress’ candidate Madhvi Choudhary (23,909 votes) by the difference of 14,849 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party’s Dharmraj Ahirwar (11,957 votes), Samajwadi Party’s Parvati Ahirwar (525 votes), Republican Party of India’s Anita Bauddha (899 votes), Bharatiya Jan Shakti’s Dr. Chhotelal Rai (8,916 votes), Gondwana Mukti Sena’s (610 votes), Lok Jan Shakti Party’s Munnalal Choudhary (589 votes), Gondwana Gantantra Party’s Ramsevak Pawar (714 votes) and independent candidate Makhanlal Dhanak (2,079 votes).

In the Assembly Elections – 2003, total 1,14,230 voters casted their votes against total number of 1,75,036 registered voters. Total 12 nominations were filed, three were rejected, two were withdrawn and seven candidates contested elections. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi (62,535 votes) registered victory against Congress Party’s Surendra Choudhary (36,704 votes) by the lead of 25,831 votes. Besides this, Bahujan Samaj Party’s Usha Kiran Ahirwar (8,248 votes), Gondwana Gantantra Party’s Satiram Pawar (2,388 votes), independent candidates Munna Lal Tantuvay (1,023 votes), Ramdas Bharti (1,045 votes) and Sharda Khatik (2,287 votes).
