Ex-Wing Commander Acharya, social activist Singh, educationist Nanda join AAP

On Saturday, former wing commander Anuma Acharya , Social activist Rajshree Singh and educationist Aruna Nanda have joined Aam Aadmi Party .The three of the members completed formalities in a ceremony held at AAP office in state capital in the presence of State AAP president Alok Agrawal. Speaking on this occasion, Acharya said that at this time the country and the region are going through a phase in which we can lay the foundation for major changes in the future. Political activism is very important for this change. That’s why I have decided to set my role in this fight for change with the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP claimed that she is the first officer from army to be in the country’s active politics. Earlier, the male officers have been in active politics, but this is the first incident of a woman officer’s entry into active politics.

Anuma Acharya was born in Vidisha. She was Wing Commander of First Batch Women Logistics Officers of Indian Air Force. She has encountered many personal tragedies in ear life and lost parents while she was pursuing education, Due to persistent hard work after completion MPhil she joined Indian Air Force. Rajshree Singh said on this occasion that she has been working for the betterment of the marginalised sections of the society for a long time. In the last few years, the way the Aam Aadmi Party has worked rapidly for political change and system change in Madhya Pradesh it shows that this part is going to work of the betterment of the society at large level. Rajshree Singh has working with NGO-Woman Education Empowerment Society in Seoni Hoshangabad. The NGO works primarily for educating and empowering women.

In a press briefing Nanda said that at this time it is very important for the youth and especially women to come into active politics to change the system. In this, instead of the other parties, the Aam Aadmi Party can work for the dreams of the youth. Therefore, more and more youths should play their active role in society by joining the Aam Aadmi Party. Aruna Nanda is a resident of Bhopal and has more than 9 years experience in the field of education. Being MBA graduate, Aruna is also a corporate trainer who specialises in Business Communication.
