Governor lays foundation stone for 700 seater auditorium at KTUJM

Governor Anandiben Patel emphasised on the need for overall development of students and therefore the university should design such their programme keeping this in mind. The Governor stated this during the foundation laying ceremony of the 700-seater auditorium at Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTUJM) on Saturday. It is not the only duty of the university to issue degrees to the students, the Governor said, adding, the universities must inform their students about employment oriented programmes and start up schemes. Universities should have proper coordination between them for better results in the field of education.


State Higher Education Minister Prem Prakash Pandey and KTUJM Vice-Chancellor Professor Man Singh Parmar were also present on the occasion. Minister Pandey stressed on the need for research and creative use of the outcome. In the era of information technology, research is key to remain ahead, said the minister.


Also present on the occasion were Secretary to the Governor Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, Pt Ravishankar Shukla University Vice-Chancellor Keshri Lal Verma, Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu University Vice-Chancellor Dr Narayan Purushottam Dakshinkar.
