Married daughter included as family member in Rehab Policy

The Cabinet held at the official residence of Chief Minister was the last meeting of the Cabinet during the third term of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh just hours ahead of imposition of Model Code of Conduct, ayed several significant decisions having perceptive effect on the forthcoming Assembly elections

The Chhattisgarh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Saturday gave new dimension to the
definition of family by including married daughter as a member of the family. Other significant decision include approval of Atal Vision Document under Nava Chhattisgarh – 2025 initiative, approval of slashing of Value Added Tax on petrol-diesel, giving rebate on guarantee fee to Chhattisgarh Nishaktajan Vitt Vikas Nigam.


The Cabinet held at the official residence of Chief Minister was the last meeting of the Cabinet during the third term of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh just hours ahead of imposition of Model Code of Conduct, ayed several significant decisions having perceptive effect on the forthcoming Assembly elections.Changing the definition of family as provisioned in Chhattisgarh State Model Rehabilitation Policy, 2007, the Cabinet on Saturday approved new definition.


Accordingly, it added married daughter in the family along with the person affected his wife/husband, minor children, mother, father, widow sister and un-married daughter dependent on the person affected. Earlier, married daughter was not included.


The Cabinet on Saturday approved waiver of 0.5 percent guarantee fees being imposed on Rs 36 crore sanctioned by the State Government as Guarantee Amount to Chhattisgarh Nishaktjan Vitt Vikas Nigam.


The Cabinet also approved the decision by which 4 percent relaxation was given in Value Added Tax for easing out prices of petrol-diesel. Coupled with the relaxation approved by the Centre, the said 4 percent waiver in VAT, led to bringing down of petrol-diesel prices by Rs 5 per liter.The Chhattisgarh Cabinet on Saturday approved Atal Vision Document under Nava Chhattisgarh – 2025 Initiative. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said this Atal Vision Document is not a vision document of any political party or any person or any ideology but this vision document is symbol of desires and dreams of people from Chhattisgarh.


This vision document will continue to make us recall our promises and duty for which we are committed. This vision document is a decisive step based on which the state of Chhattisgarh will become a smart, empowered, prosperous, green and blissful state in 2025. The Chief Minister further added that the Nava Chhattisgarh initiative will continue to direct us to proceed on right direction and to take right decisions. Whosoever will be in charge of government, whosoever will be the Chief Minister, this Vision Document will remain ‘Atal’. He said that this vision document has the capacity to give a much better direction to the State and it is his belief that we the people of Chhattisgarh will continue to develop it as the state of our dreams. The Chief Minister said it is his dream that Chhattisgarh should develop as a state which doesn’t have economic, academic, social and sexual disparity.
