Flower decoration competition marks first day of ‘Pink Week’ celebration

A flower decoration competition was organised on the first day of ‘Pink Week Celebration For Women Voters’ drive at Mata Gujari Women's College, on Sunday. The district administration has started the drive to encourage women voters for exercising their franchise.

Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Harshika Singh was present during the competition organised amongst college students. On the occasion she apprised students about significance of voting and administered oath to them for exercising the franchise. All participants were in pink attire.

It may be noted that various programmes have been organised for young girls and women under Pink Week Celebration For Women Voters, being carried out to aware and encourage women voters for voting. On the second day of the drive, a debate for women would be organised at Mankunwar Bai College at 11.30 am, on Monday. Likewise, Basketball competition would be organised at Youth Hostel, Ranital on Tuesday, fashion show would be organised at Government M H College Home Science at 12 pm on October 10.Similarly, Crockery and Bakery competition would be organised at Food and Craft Institute, Dumna on October 11. Woman human chain would be formed at all Women's Colleges from 11 am to 12 pm on October 12.

On the next day Pinkalethon would be organised from Collectorate to Wright Town Stadium at 7.30 am, on October 13 while on the last day of the drive Pink Cycling would be conducted for women at Dumna Nature Reserve at 8.30 am, on October 14. CEO, District Panchayat Singh has appealed women voters to take part in large number in the competition being organised for them under Pink Week Celebration for Women Voters drive.
